Sequin Cardigan – Vintage from Salvage Life; Silk Blouse – Zara; Leggings – St. John Knits; Booties – Stuart Weitzman; Flower – ban.do; Clutch – Rouge & Whimsy; Watch – Michael Kors; Bangles – Kate Spade
I’ve been showing bits of this cardigan on Instagram for a few weeks now and have peeked a lot of interest. I rarely shop vintage, I just don’t have a great eye for it, for seeing the vision behind each piece. But when my friend Beth of Salvage Life was having a party to celebrate the opening of her new online store, I saw this sweater and knew it was something special. I don’t go overboard with sparkle in my wardrobe, but 2-3 key pieces with a hint of shine that can be dressed up or down are a perfect add-on piece to your wardrobe. They save you in those moments when you’re scrambling for something nice to wear, but nothing over the top fancy.
Admittedly though it’s taken me a few outfits to finally figure out how to wear this cardigan without feeling like I stepped out of a J. Crew catalog. I love J. Crew, but I don’t want to scream J. Crew. The night I wore this with an on-trend striped turtleneck, boyfriend jeans and ballet flats, I was screaming J. Crew. I’ve since worn this with a very casual t-shirt and distressed jeans for a cute look, and now this look is more festive and dressy, but the leggings still keep it feeling a bit more sexy as opposed to sweet. At any rate, I loved this look and can’t wait to replicate it again. I changed into polka dot flats when I got home, making it a perfect holiday entertaining at home outfit.
So what’s your go-to wardrobe staple that you wear when in a pinch and need to feel and look good for a party or an event? I have this cardigan and another black sequins top that never fails me when I want to feel fun and festive.

Gorgeous and I love that cardigan though I totally get how it can be hard to wear. Congrats too!
What an amazing find! I feel that same way about my (lack of) eye for vintage, but this can’t be missed – it’s gorgeous and I love what you’ve paired it with. Festive and fun.

You’re so beautiful! As always, I love your outfits! You’re so funny about screaming J.Crew. I wouldn’t think that’s really a bad thing, but totally understand what you’re saying!
