Fall is definitely taking its time getting to Southern California, but the nights are at least a bit brisker and a family trip to the pumpkin patch this past weekend actually called for a sweater and socks with my boots.

I got a lot of use out of these booties during Spring and even Summer, but now is the time to transition them into Fall. To highlight their cute silhouette, I’m wearing them with cuffed boyfriend jeans, and adding a pair of funky socks. They’ll work perfectly with dresses too by just adding some tights, or if I’m daring, maybe some knee high socks?
Either way, if the blazer is the new cardigan, then the bootie is the new riding boot, or maybe even the new ballet flat for Fall? I love that the heel height is totally functional yet just high enough to give me a lift, and are rugged to hang at the park or pumpkin patch, but nice enough to pair with a dress. I bought a pari a few months ago from Dillards after falling for yours & I love them! Also, I’m finally able to wear them all day without killing my feet! I like the low-priced pair- might need to ask for a pair in a new color for christmas!!

Any tips on styling brightly colored pants? I bought a pair of skinny-ish tiny-wale orange cords at the Gap and was hoping the booties would work with them. No such luck. Any ideas??

Hi Danielle! I’m surprised the booties didn’t look cute with the cords because I totally think they would. Hmmm, how about just a classic ballet flat? Or a cute pair of tennies, like Chucks, for a fun casual look? A pair of smoking flats would be good too!
